The theme for the 2023 Australian Anthropological Society Conference is Vulnerabilities. As a part of the plenary, Kavesh talks about hospitality, hostility, and geo-political vulnerabilities in South Asia through the eyes of pigeons and donkeys. His discussion developed a criticism of the “face” of the vulnerable Other by taking inspiration from Deleuze and Guattari.
